Keep Your RX-8 Planted Through Every Corner
Worn front shock-to-control-arm bushings let the shock absorber shift and flex under load, robbing your suspension of the precise control it was designed for. The Whiteline W33338 front shock absorber to control arm bushing kit replaces the factory rubber with a higher-durometer synthetic elastomer bushing and hardened center tube, restoring a tight mechanical link between the shock and control arm. The result is sharper damper response and more consistent handling, especially once the factory bushings have started to sag with age.
Key Features
- Higher-durometer synthetic elastomer bushing outperforms factory rubber
- Includes hardened center tubes for a precise, slop-free shock mount
- Restores accurate shock absorber geometry for consistent damper performance
- Direct bolt-in replacement, no cutting or modification required
- Backed by a Whiteline Limited Lifetime Warranty

FAQ
What is the W33338?
The Whiteline W33338 is a front shock absorber to control arm bushing kit that replaces worn factory rubber shock mount bushings with a synthetic elastomer bushing and hardened center tube for tighter, more precise shock control.
Will the W33338 fit my Mazda RX-8?
Yes, it fits 2004-2007 RX-8 Base, 2008-2011 Grand Touring and Sport, 2009-2011 R3, and 2008-2009 Touring trims.
How many bushings are included in this kit?
The kit includes 2 shell bushings and 2 hardened center tubes, enough to service both front shock mounting points.
What symptoms indicate the factory shock bushings are worn?
Common symptoms include clunking noises over bumps, vague or inconsistent steering feel, and premature shock wear caused by the shock shifting inside a sagging factory bushing.
Do I need to replace my shocks to install this kit?
No, this bushing kit installs onto your existing shock absorber mounting point and does not require new shocks.
Is the Whiteline bushing stiffer than factory rubber?
Yes, Whiteline uses a higher-durometer synthetic elastomer that reduces deflection compared to factory rubber while still remaining streetable.
Is professional installation recommended?
Most installers with front suspension experience can complete this job with standard hand tools. A shop install is recommended if you are not comfortable working around the front shocks and control arms.
Does this kit include a warranty?
Yes, the W33338 is backed by Whiteline’s Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects.
